Acclaimed organist Christopher Houlihan will perform in Richmond at Centenary Methodist Church on East Grace Street Friday evening (4/29) at 7:30 p.m. The recital is sponsored by the Richmond chapter of the American Guild of Organists and admission is free!

Critics have applauded Christopher Houlihan for his “world class chops” and “marvelous ear, ” and The Los Angeles Times proclaimed him dazzling and seductive. Houlihan’s “Vierne 2012” tour attracted international attention and critical acclaim for his marathon performances of the six organ symphonies of Louis Vierne in six major North American cities. In 2014, Houlihan made his Disney Hall debut, performing with principal brass of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, for which the Los Angeles Times raved, “Houlihan is the next big organ talent.”

Christopher stopped by our 88.9 WCVE studios for a chat about his performance here and his developing career in organ performance. Enjoy!
